Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of GameBubble (the website, web app and Android app). By creating an account you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
1. Who we are
GameBubble is operated by Rodrigo Antunes (PixelPerBits) (Portugal). Contact: rodrigoka4@gmail.com. See the Legal notice.
2. Accounts and age
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority, you confirm your parent or guardian agrees to these Terms.
- You must give your real date of birth. It is used to show only content suitable for your age.
- Games rated 18+ are only available to adults who completed age verification.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Studio profiles are run by the people who are members of them. The age used is always the age of the person, never of the studio.
3. Your games and content belong to you
You keep all rights (copyright and other intellectual property) to the games, covers, texts and comments you publish. To run the service, you grant GameBubble a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display (e.g. thumbnails), show, distribute and promote your content inside GameBubble and in its marketing. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept for the legal retention periods described in the Privacy Policy and content others already shared in a way that the service can't undo.
You confirm you have all the rights needed to publish your content (including music, art, code and trademarks) and that it follows these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
4. Publishing games: review and age ratings
- Every game is reviewed by moderators before it goes live. Edits to a live game are reviewed too, while the approved version stays online.
- The age rating is calculated from your honest answers to the content questionnaire. Moderators may ask you to review your answers if they consider the rating inaccurate.
- Content we never allow: explicit sexual content, sexual content involving minors, real-money gambling, content promoting hate or violence against people, malware, illegal content.
5. Moderation, reports and appeals
Anyone can report games, comments and users. When we remove or restrict content or accounts we tell you the reason (statement of reasons) and how to appeal. Appeals are reviewed by a person. You can also use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the EU Digital Services Act, or the courts. Copyright holders can use the copyright notice form.
6. Promoted games (paid)
Creators can buy Promoted packages. Payment is processed by Google Play (Android app) or Stripe (web). Promotion starts after payment is confirmed. Because it is a digital service that starts immediately at your request, you acknowledge the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once the promotion starts, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights. Promoted content is clearly labelled.
7. Advertising
GameBubble may show ads (our own and from partners such as Google). Personalised ads are only shown with your consent where required.
8. Acceptable use
Don't break the law, harass people, spam, impersonate others, try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours, scrape the service, or upload code that harms players or devices.
9. Suspension and termination
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms, proportionately to the breach. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
10. Liability
The service is provided as is. Games are made by their creators, who are responsible for them. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese or EU law, nor your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes and law
We will tell you about important changes in advance and ask you to accept them. These Terms are governed by Portuguese law; consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence. Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform and the Portuguese consumer arbitration centres (CNIACC).
