Privacy Policy — Under the Sea

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This policy explains what data the game Under the Sea ("the Game") uses, in all its versions: browser (antunescode.com, itch.io), CrazyGames, Steam (Windows) and Android. The data controller is Rodrigo Antunes, Lisbon, Portugal — contact: rodrigoka4@gmail.com.

1. Data we collect

  • Local save: best scores, statistics (lights collected, runs, deaths), unlocked achievements, the daily challenge record, settings (language, sound) and the nickname you type, stored only on your device (browser localStorage or the app's storage).
  • Online leaderboard (only in versions where it is enabled, and never on CrazyGames): the nickname you choose, your score, time survived, the platform and the day of the run are sent to the public ranking.

The Game has no accounts, no login, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect your e-mail, location, contacts, microphone or camera. There are no ads, except in the CrazyGames version (see below).

2. CrazyGames

On CrazyGames the Game uses the CrazyGames SDK: your progress is saved with CrazyGames' data system (in your CrazyGames account if you are logged in, otherwise in your browser), your CrazyGames username may be used as the default nickname, and ads may be shown by CrazyGames. This is processed by CrazyGames under its own privacy policy. The Game does not send any data to other servers on CrazyGames.

3. Steam

On Steam, achievements are unlocked through Steamworks and stored in your Steam account. Valve processes this data under the Steam Privacy Policy. The Game does not read your Steam friends, inventory or payment data.

4. How we use it

  • to keep your records, achievements and settings between sessions;
  • to show the public leaderboard (nickname, score, time, platform and day are public);
  • to prevent cheating and keep the Game working.

Legal basis (GDPR): performance of the service you requested and our legitimate interest in running a fair ranking. We never sell your data.

5. Where it is stored

The local save stays on your device. Leaderboard entries, when enabled, are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), which may process them outside the EU under Google's standard contractual clauses. This website is hosted on Vercel. Each service has its own privacy policy.

6. Retention and your rights

Clearing your browser or app data deletes the local save. You can ask to access, correct or delete your leaderboard entries by e-mailing rodrigoka4@gmail.com with your nickname. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

7. Children

The Game is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Do not use your real name as a nickname. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

This policy may be updated; the date above shows the latest version.
